Read more…I work with clients who are professional artists, adolescent musicians who compete in international competitions, etc. Presenting problems sometimes include a lack of inspiration or crippling anxiety that blocks the ability to perform or audition. I have always doodled and the same objects would manifest repeatedly including somewhat predictableand identifiable images including abstractions of hearts, spirals, eyes, paisleys, etc. In the past few quarters at Pacifica, the nature of these drawings have shifted to more unfamiliar and surprising figures of animal-like creatures with some human elements, such as the structure of the eyes or lips or an expression. This new development was very exciting and spurred my curiosity as I felt that the new figures had an autonomous quality. I made a collage....
