"Dorene,

Very nice. I realize how difficult it has been for me to connect over the past two weeks. I have attended two conferences in a row, which have been inspiring, but also draining. I also feel a generational gap here. Connectivity in the age…"

Jeffrey Kiehl replied to Craig Chalquist, PhD's discussion idea: ad hoc committee participation in Alliance Admin Board
"Hi Craig,

I like this idea. It is project focused and will allow cross fertilization. It avoids the organizational problem called 'stove piping' that often arises. In org speak it is related to 'tiger teams.' So, I am supportive of this way of…"

Jeffrey Kiehl commented on Craig Chalquist, PhD's blog post Depth versus Deep
"Just a comment on the translation of Tiefen... The adjective tief is translated as "deep," but the feminine noun Tiefe is translated as "depth." For example, the noun Tiefenanzeiger is translated as "depth gauge." So, I don't see the need to use the…"

  • Hi Jeff

Great to hear from you and learn of your work. I am very excited to hear your book is so close to coming out. I have ordered it, and am looking forward to what I am sure will be a very stimulating and informative read. A climate scientist who is a Jungian analyst is certainly what is needed right now! Your video on CC, Art and Psychology is a lovely  integration of all the perspectives you are illuminating.

I am a  Jungian psychotherapist who completed a doctorate in 2014 on psychological responses to climate change engagement. Here is the link if you are interested http://researchdirect.uws.edu.au/islandora/object/uws%3A32281 or you can find a shorter paper of mine on dreams and CC at http://www.psychologyforasafeclimate.org/#!publications/c1erc. You might also be interested to check out my husband Jonathan Marshall's publications on CC. He is an anthropologist and alchemy scholar http://uts.academia.edu/jonmarshall. He edited a book on depth psychology, disorder and CC a few years ago ( details on his website). Right now I am working on a book drawing on my thesis. I look forward to hearing and seeing more of your work. Best wishes Sally

  • Hi Jeffrey! So you're the face behind the tweet! Love what you're doing with @SustainingEarth--and love the sound of your event at Esalen! I am so grateful for the work you are doing in the world--I think the combo of ecopsych with Jungian methods and theory is so powerful. Welcome to the online depth community. Thanks for jumping in and sharing and good luck with the workshop. Tempting!
  • Welcome Jeffrey,
