A strong desire to understand myself, my existence (our existence), and my purpose, and as well, a strong desire to be in the the Is-ness of Being. I expect to gain knowledge of the aforementioned.

Hi Kevin. Oh, yes. I remember Year 2 at SSU quite well. It was intense, but really great in terms of developing my thesis which still has a lot of power for me, so ultimately very rewarding.
You may have noticed that Mark Winborn has agreed to keep the discussion going past August if people are interested, so feel free to jump in if you find a few spare minutes :) I'm thinking of hosting a final Alliance meetup/speaker for the year--maybe 4th quarter, so perhaps you can be enticed to pull yourself away from studies and we'll meet in person. You may want to join the "Bay Area Hive" group so you get the notices for that if/when it happens. We've just had a couple (in July and August) that I think everyone enjoyed.

Hi Kevin. Greetings, and welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm glad you've found us--especially through Michael!
As you may know, we currently have over 1500 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
Also I know you're specifically intersted in the online book club for August: Deep Blues with Dr. Mark Winborn. Though the month is almost over, you can still jump into the discussion, and Mark has agreed to continue for a few weeks for those who are interested, so please don't hold back! You're a rare breed!
In case you're interested, the September Book Club will bring us "Out of the Shadows: A Story of Toni Wolff and Emma Jung" with Eliz.... Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule.
