Hello Peter - I'm glad to see you have gotten involved with this group. I, too, live here in Nashville, and we have several mutual friends (including Judi Draper and your ex, Jan, who I was in a women's group with in 1976!). My husband and I both have been quite interested in Jungian psychology for many years and have considered helping to re-start a Jung group here. I will let you know if this happens, in case you would like to be involved.

Hi Peter. Greetings, and welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm glad you've found us. I'm sure you know there are a few others connected with Animas Valley Institute here. I know several people who really love the work you are doing, so thanks for that. Please feel free to sign up on our new sister site DepthList.com if you want to offer your services. It's free to list for 6 months through Dec. 31.
Meanwhile, as you may know, we currently have nearly 1800 members from all over the world and we're growing. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from various walks of life including artists, writers, doctors, scientists, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
Also you may want to consider joining the discussion in the online book club if you haven't already: In December we're featuring "Madness at the Gates of the City: The Myth Of American Innocence,” a mythological and cultural look at our current belief systems with Barry Spector. Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule--and you can join the discussion anytime, even if you don't have the book. Upcoming in January is "The War of the Gods in Addiction" with David Schoen, as well as a special study group on the Red Book with Robert Bosnak starting January 19.
In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link----http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site----and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
