Hi Susan,
I wonder, now that you're teaching at Pacifica, if you've heard anything about a conference scheduled for Santa Barbara in Sept 2012. Pacifica is sponsoring what I think is being called the "Symposium for the Study of Myth." So glad to have you with us. Welcome!
Welcome Susan,
I especially appreciate the desire to re-connect the humanities with the creative imagination.
My sense of educational directions over the last decade or two has been that there is a slow drift away from the humanities and more time and money spent presenting the "objective" scientific disciplines, often supported as being more practical than the humanities. Introducing the creative imagination within the humanities creates a bridge and, arguably a "reason," for a revisiting of the humanities in education.
I believe you will find many areas of discussion within the Alliance that touch on and explore active imagination. I look forward to your posts.

Hi Susan. Welcome! I'm glad you've found the online depth community.I am familiar with your name and work a bit, especially through IAJS and the annual conference as well as through Pacifica.
As you can see, the Alliance is a dynamic and growing group of people who understand the power of connecting around critical topics and the fact that we are a global community allows us to meet and learn from others in a multitude of ways.
I think you'll find much to engage with as you begin to browse the vast content and start interacting with others. I hope you'll jump in right away and get your feet wet by simply sharing a link or article that has meaning for you or perhaps by commenting on others' posts, asking a question, or sharing some of your own thoughts or work.
