    Thank you for your message.

  • Thank you.  I look forward to getting involved.

  • Thanks for the welcome. My main focus is sharing with my own personal experiences rather than interacting intellectually on many subjects. Jung did say, it seems to me, that we must live our own experiences.

  • Jesse, thanks for the reminder and the encouragement. - Laura

  • Hello Jesse,

    Appreciate the welcome!

Yes I did study with the Four Winds. Also have great admiration for Michael Harner's work, so it'd be interesting to compare reflections some time. I am very new to the depth Psychology community, with no formal training that comes under that label. But there is much here that feels familiar. In addition to "shamanic" practices, I'm involved with a group called "Waking Down", which is oriented toward fully-embodied development (think: the opposite of "spiritual by-passing"), and practice privately offering shamanic change-agency work, including those Munay-Ki transmisions you mention!

Thanks for what you're doing here!

  • Hi Jesse. Thank you for the comment. I graduated from the Pacifica Depth Program in 2008 prior to them splitting off specializations. I appreciate you opening this forum to people so that we can communicate with each other. Looking forward to participating.

    Cheers,

    JB

  • Thanks for the welcome, Jesse. I'll explore the site some more and see what interests me.

    best,

    Carl

  • Thanks for your welcome Jesse

  • i graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2001 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. As a psychologist in private practice in Encino, CA I work with women who, though "strong outside", are drawn to their shadow in relationships. Pacifica, and my dissertation, Hell's Angels has drawn me to the field of depth psychology. I have turned that work into a book, Hades Angels: An Inside View of Women Who Love Lifers and Death Row Inmates. It, and my work with individuals and groups in my private practice demystifies the "magnetic draw" towards destructive relationships and suffering to empowerment and healthier relationships. 1+3=3
