"Hi Bonnie,
I had the good fortune of working with Donald F. Sandner from October of 1984 until his death on Easter Sunday, 1997.  As you know, Don was a living link between analytical psychology and shamanism.  It is out of this lineage that I have…"

  • Hi Steven. Greetings, and (a somewhat belated) welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm glad you've found us, and I'm thrilled you're willing to share some discussion around your work. You probably are already aware there are a lot of Pacifica students, faculty and alumni year.

Also, as you may know, we currently have nearly 1600 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists like yourself!-- plus writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.

On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.

Also you may want to consider participating in the online book club: In September, we're featuring "Out of the Shadows: A Story of Toni Wolff and Emma Jung" with Eliza... Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule--and you can join the discussion even if you don't have the book!

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link---- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site----and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder

Jungian analyst Murray Stein writes:

“Steven Herrmann is one of those rare individuals who can brilliantly bring intellectual prowess and visionary depth together in a graceful dance of prose and poetry. In this work he presents the many cross-overs and parallels between two similarly gifted thinkers, C.G. Jung and William James. A comparative study of these two giants of modernity is long overdue, and Steven Hermann is perfectly prepared to cover this match in all its…
