Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
Narrative psychology combined with social systems on the "outside" and Jungian understanding of the interior "systems" make a nice pairing. Currently working on soul-related theoretical research establishing that soul is a misnomer. A proper understanding begins with seeing that souling as process is a better beginning to understanding the workings within the Psyche.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
Many, but most are Jungian based.

When my marriage collapsed seven years ago, I made a choice between attending the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, or Pacifica. I decided on the former, and I wonder sometimes if I made the right choice. I will attend Pacifica at some point - if only to study with Robert Romanyshyn. I read his book: "Ways of the Heart: Essays Toward An Imaginal Psychology" and was enthralled.
Rumi is part of my past, and Rilke became more or less an "urgent" study after the dissolution of my marriage; I needed to "ripen" into a space where I could really absorb Rilke. His "Elegies" are my focus right now.

Thank you for your greeting. Actually, I live in northern California, about ten miles north of Berkeley. I do look forward to exploring this site; currently, my particular focus is in the connections between Rilke's poetry and depth psychology. I have read some of James Hollis' comments on Rilke in his book "The Archetypal Imagination," and I hope there may be other members of this site that share this interest. Where are you located? I look forward to future dialogues with you.
Best Regards,
Mark
Oh OK! I'll look for it. I love good against evil with a female warrior woman. Image candy.
No, I'm not familiar with Electra.
Thanks for the welcome, Ed. I am not in the South--but I am in Southern California. I look forward exploring the site--it was a great find through the Asheville Jung Center.
Xena is one of my favorite female archetypes! Glad you like the pic.
