no
Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
Narrative psychology combined with social systems on the "outside" and Jungian understanding of the interior "systems" make a nice pairing. Currently working on soul-related theoretical research establishing that soul is a misnomer. A proper understanding begins with seeing that souling as process is a better beginning to understanding the workings within the Psyche.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
Many, but most are Jungian based.

Yes, I agree there, about if you don't mention depth psychology and unconscious etc, then people wil agree. I am OK with neurocience as an integration as I cannot negate the functioning of the brain(or at least what we seem to know), but I cannot stop there, for me, working with soul has an influence on brain anyway...it sorts out its own 'CBT', even through integration through dreams, if that makes sense!!!!
I like TA for the reasons you mention and also because it does actually work with 'unconscious' ... 'lifescripts' and 'games' for example, operate on an unconscious level....
Yes, 'exterior systems with interior systems'..I like the way you have worded that...
I hear you about modality of approach!!! For me, it is about the relationship between therapist and client...which can easily include depth psychology.....
I will keep you up to date when I re-introduce dance in this area...I am starting them all off gently!!!! Then will throw in the idea of movement!
I was a dancer when I was young...and The Black Swan film makes much sense to me...I never experienced hallucinatins, but I guess I was 'hallucinating' in my perfectionsitic mind at that time...thinking I was not 'thin enough', developing anorexia...dance was a healer, a release to me, and yet a shadow, a destroyer..that which norusihed me destroyed me and that which destroyed me nourished me.....thankfully I ahve worked with it all, assimilated it all over the years and integrated it and am integratinit still...still have a 'be perfect driver' (in TA terms) to sort out more though!!! But thankfully, my body and dance are free to express as they are.....
Dear Ed,
Thank you for the warm welcome. I am attending a group hosted by the Jung Institute in Chicago on The Answer to Job. While I am no Jung expert, I have found in my daily experiences with many, that so much of their illness is within... I look so forward to any conversations we have.
Regards,
Maureen
Ed:
Thanks for your comment. I am a therapist and my point was that I attempt to use or attend to the unconscious in my clinical work (I do so elsewhere, as well), which is not a given for therapy or therapists, whether or not it should be. And what do you do?
Laura
Thanks for your welcome Ed.
The Black swan.....a gripping dramatisation of the lesser coniunctio.
I enjoyed it, too.
David
Found it! Thanks again for the welcome. I don’t think many “remember” Laura Mars. I have many bizarre dreams and I dream nightly and can remember many of my dreams, sometimes seven or eight of them at a time, so this is definitely the place for me.
