Thanks for the welcome! On the notion of lost innocence: My book argues that America and (white) Americans have been heavily invested in a mask of innocence for our entire history. When the veil is briefly uncovered (recall that "apocalypse" means to "lift the veil"), our entire cultural, media and political leadership rush to cover it back up. So every time some major event causes us to lose our innocence, it always feels like "the first time."

Thanks for the welcome, Ed. I look forward to being a member of the Alliance as I begin my thesis and no doubt journey to isolated points of chaos, discovery, and elation along the way. Haven’t yet determined if I’ll be able to attend the conference in October, but I will definitely check out Jung in the South.

Sorry it took a bit to find this & say thanks so much for the invite! Looking forward to being around the pages more. Thanks for your interest in my work. My thesis looked at nightmares using the lens of Self psychology & Jungian dreamwork to tend the shadow, & the daimon & projections associated with them. I am now teaching archetypal tarot classes & throwing around the idea of writing a book on intuitive tarot. Anyway, hoping for some enlightening dialogue here...& happy to be part of this community & group!
