Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
My mentor in college fascinated me with the way he regarded the world. He was an anthroposophist (and a phenomenologist). Not wanting to be either of those I have searched and searched for something that was similar: the writings of Jung, Hillman, Barfield, Dobbs, Progoff, Neumann, Piehler, etc., etc., seemed all to have in common depth psychology so here I am. I am most interested in visionary art and literature and how it has been interpreted and reinterpreted through history. There images that seem to accompany us on our journey and that is the most marvelous and real answer to materialism and scientism, as well as the truest description of my own experience, that I have encountered in the realms of theories and explanations.
Being a part of this community I hope to participate in imaginative, intelligent and positive conversations about direct experience and the stories we tell about it.

Do you mean my website? I just moved back from Hawaii a few months ago, I am now in Sacramento California trying to get organize so I haven't paid any attention to websites. I just realized that this website is hook up to my old e-mail! I'll see if I can change that.

Hi Kerry. Greetings!-- and welcome to the online depth psychology community. I'm so glad you've found us, especially via JungPlatform.
As you may know, we currently have over 1600 members from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists like yourself!-- plus writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
Also you may want to consider participating in the online book club: In October, we're featuring "Telling the Difference" with Jungian analyst Paul Watsky-the only .... Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule--and you can join the discussion even if you don't have the book.
