Sharon Rukin replied to Carla Leutscher's discussion Is shadow influencing our workchoice?
"Yeah... I was more addressing the idea of set forms or techniques.  At some level we are all merged as one... but that is different than coming in with a technique or set that can put blinders on a therapist or severely limit what otherwise could be…"

  • Sorry for the delay in response but I'm on my way to Jamaica to talk with a Jamaican woman I co-wrote a play with several months ago. We are currently wrestling with music rights which is expected, but frustrating. So...yes! I love theatre. We are planning to get to Chicago for the Institutes (so many year) celebration but don't have the dates in front of me right now. Before we head up there I'll have to ask you what's playing - good and bad. Saw Enron the last time we were up.

  • Okay, my turn for an apology for the lateness of my response. I'm in Louisville, KY.

I don't remember whether you have mentioned being involved with the Institute in Chicago or not. Do you know of them? I have enjoyed the theatre that Chicago has to offer.

  • Welcome Sharon and Happy New Year!!

I see you have already jumped into the discussions - wonderful.

By the way, where are you located?

  • Hi Sharon. Welcome to the Alliance. It's great to see you here. I'm really loving how connected everyone is through technology. I know many of us in the field resist it, but there is so much good that comes out of it as well by connecting people who may never otherwise meet.

I love the Jung quote on your home page: I had never seen that one before. I also love the image on the Dreams page. You seem to have a great and thriving practice.

Glad you're here, and look forward to seeing you in the community.
