Ed Koffenberger left a comment on Jung in the South
"So...after a LONG time away, I resurface and wonder who is still out there, esp. in the Carolinas and Virginia? Frankly, I took too great a chunk of real estate in my exuberance with the beginning of the DPA. Now hoping there are some still…"

Ed Koffenberger replied to Bonnie Bright's discussion How pervasive or recognizable is Depth Psychology?-- How (and how often) do you share?
"The actual phrase "depth psychology" about three times. The concepts and perceptions related to and introduced by depth psychology, most likely, 10+ times a week. Normally with people interested in dreams, synchronicity, religion, and philosophy.…"

Ed Koffenberger replied to Gerard Scott's discussion The collective unconscious
"Fun. As I understand it, the collect unconscious of humanity is drawn from the combined unconscious dynamics of humanity passed down from the earliest times. If experience is the key, then the alien experience would be alien (couldn't resist) to our…"

  • I love your mask. Thanks you so much for your warm welcome. I'm looking forward to be involved with this group.

  • Thanks for the welcome Ed.

To answer your question - in an astrology reading this was said:

You work with real imagination and understanding in areas of the mind that are the most personal or private -- depth psychology. You are like a midwife of the spirit, assisting at the birth of each individual going through a spiritual or re-birth process. You accept the natural process of birth, spiritual and physical, and have dedicated yourself to helping it along. You would make a great teacher in these areas.

  • Hello Ed and thanks. Is there a specific Pacifica group within this group?  I look forward to interacting with you and the many offerings in depth psychology within this site.

  • Hello Ed,

Thank-you for your communication, via a post.

I am in the metro-Milwaukee area (90 miles north of Chicago). I love speaking and do so frequently. Let me know what you were thinking of....

To those interested in handwriting and type, I am teaching a three week class (Thursdays from 11-12:30 CST) through APTi. We start this Thursday (8th) so check it out on APTi website.

  • Ed,

Thanks for connecting with me. I am finishing the 2 year Clinical Training Program at the CG Jung Institute of Chicago. Professionally I am a clinical social worker and I spend my time teaching and doing research as a professor of social work in Southern Illinois.  My research is on parenting to the extent that I explore parenthood as an experience of self.

  • Ed, Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to being an active member of the Depth Psychology community after I complete a 2-year Jungian Clinical Training program in June. I have begun to look for ways to continue deepening my knowledge and experience when I am finished with my program. I am happy I found this group and am excited to explore it further in the near future. -- Terry
  • Thanks for the welcome.

I am in Atlanta and a member of the Jung Society there. I am also on a the mailing list for the group in Asheville North Carolina and have enjoyed a few of their offerings online.

I am a layman who began doing my own self-styled mid-life education in psychology a few years ago. I'm always looking for leads and links online to subjects of interest to me. LOL it kinda looks as if I hit the mother lode hit here. Looking forward to exploring.

  • Hey Ed thanks for the greetings. After getting my BA I plan on first getting my Masters in Counseling Psychology so I can obtain a MFT. From there I would be very interested in attending one of the Jung Institutes. I have a lot of future ideas, and really see myself being a student for life, inside and outside the classroom. My studies in comparative religion, Islam in a huge way, comes from my personal life as well as academic pursuits. I am really glad to be in this community and look forward to talking with you more! What are your goals?

  • A very late thanks to you for your kind c welcome to me. Great if we could change some ideas !

We have a small Jungian book / study circle Here in Helsinki. We are only 7 members in it and we meet once a month .

  • Hi Ed, Carol B. spoke highly of you.

FYI..  I am offering two daylong soulcentric dream explorations in town this month.

Plus, a 6-week long evening dream group with 5 folks max. (might be full, not sure yet)

I can email you my complete flyer?  You could forward it to others locals who might be interested?
