Ed Koffenberger left a comment on Jung in the South
"So...after a LONG time away, I resurface and wonder who is still out there, esp. in the Carolinas and Virginia? Frankly, I took too great a chunk of real estate in my exuberance with the beginning of the DPA. Now hoping there are some still…"

  • Hi Ed,

Thanks for your kind welcome and for your post :) Glad to meet you, and thanks for your encouraging words about my proposed research topic and area of non-profit focus.  Great to know another Pacifica-ite, and hope to chat soon.

    Take Care,

    Indhushree

  • Thanks for your emaikl. The phrase, "all thnigs not physical" suggest that it refers to the non-material. Is thata what you meant? I am not party to the recent (20-30 years) trend in psychiatry that pushes chemistry. The origin of the word "psche" means soul or spirit. I prefer that. I also subscribe to the concept that consciousness is in every cell of the body.
  • ice and snow? blahhhhhh.  feels pretty oppressive--ready to run out of my house screaming "get me out of here!!!!" but I don't think I could make it to warm weather on foot.
  • Thank you for the Welcome, Ed.

I already read a lot on Depthalliance and find nearly everything interesting. The links were helpful. And videos such as Marie-Louise Von Franz live. It's here that I discovered Ecopsychology. And I like modern thoughts and questions in dialogue with the older jungian theories.

So I am glad I found this homepage.

  • Hi Ed, thanks for the information. Where do I find these posts about brainstorming a conference? I'll have to take some time to explore the site. Are the Jung groups in Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL part of this site?

    IN peace,

    Lilan

  • Hi, Ed- Thank you for the welcome greeting and the kind words with regards mythopoetry.com. It looks like there are a number of Pacifica  grads participating. Looking forward to sharing more good stuff together in days to come.  bless, stephanie

  • Ed,

By all means, give me a heads up when you come through Wilmington.  I would look forward to a visit.  I am still trying to figure out how to use this website.  I'm sure any small child would point me in the right direction....Sallie

  • Hi, Ed,

Lots of changes since I saw you at Pacifica last spring.  Im right now in Calistoga for 10 days but have been back in Maine near the coast since June and working there as a therapist.  Still combining my love of depth psych, dreams, and astrology with therapy.  Also teaching DBT again in February.  Will be primarily in Maine where there is also a lot happening in the Depth/ Jungian field.  Will attend the Boston Jung Center Summer Institute in June.  Will definitely be in Cali about every 3 months or so.  Maybe attend a Pacifica program again.  What week-ends are you classes?? I may be there near the fountain again!

My youngest daughter got married in October which was a big event in lots of ways for our family and that has continued to unfold interiorly for me.  In general, life is sooo good.

Love the website, BTW.  Nice to have access to many others like-souled people.  (Like-minded, too, but soul is where it's at for me.)  Saw Black Swan 3 nights ago and it was hauntingly beautiful.  Will comment on that later.  Right now, because it's 65 degrees and not 30ish (as it is in Maine), Im heading to the hot springs for a warm up and soak.

All the best, and congratulations on the website!  Be well, my friend,  Thankful

  • Hi,

Thanks for the welcome, interesting point of view, had to go to see about the images, I never think of them that way, but I can see what you mean.  What are you doing at Pacifica?  Favorite professors?  Look forward to visiting

  • Hi Ed my haiku are unpublished but reserved for this purpose.

Glad they stirred you to smile. 'the wise seek magnets'
