By "candidate" at the Jung Institute, this means I am currently in the program. I am in my 4th year, and will be certified at the end of the program in a few more years. It is a long process with both a personal and professional focus. Very satisfying. Happy to tell you more, if you are interested-

Hi Ed! Thank you so much for the offer of the reading list for the topic of ALCHEMY. I would LOVE to receive the list. Wish I had more time to respond. I am almost at the end of Catherine MacCoun's book. Now I just need to exercise my brain which is another way of saying more meditation. She lists the following processes to go through in order to travel up the "vertical":
Calcination; Dissolution; Separation; Conjunction; Fermentation; Sublimation; Radiation.

There are lot of opportunities for volunteer work here ranging from teaching English in an intercultural school the NGO is supporting in an indigenous Shipibo community near Pucallpa to helping organize a forum with the indigenous political organizations to discuss the threat of oil exploration on indigenous territory
In addition I am also getting to know who are and who are not the people to drink ayahuasca with if this is also of interest
