Ed Koffenberger replied to Gerard Scott's discussion The collective unconscious
"Fun. As I understand it, the collect unconscious of humanity is drawn from the combined unconscious dynamics of humanity passed down from the earliest times. If experience is the key, then the alien experience would be alien (couldn't resist) to our…"

Ed Koffenberger replied to Gerard Scott's discussion The collective unconscious
"Just occurred to me that false memory creation has been going on for generations, just not along neuroscientific lines. How many times has history been rewritten and taught in our schools to generations not old enough to have their own memories of…"

Ed Koffenberger replied to Gerard Scott's discussion The collective unconscious

  • Thanks for the welcome, Ed. I am indeed based in the South, but in my case - South Africa :)
  • Thank you Ed. I practice in the greater NY area.

I find depth psychology is especially relevant for those with trauma histories, and yes it does tend to help patients find spiritual strength.

I appreciate you welcome Ed and I look forward to discussing depth psychology and  gaining new insights and seeing how everyone here uses it.

  • Thank you Ed for the warm welcome!
  • Sounds very interesting...thank you for sharing with me!

  • Ed, thank you for your comments. Yes, this image is specifically referenced by the artist as being an image of "The Tree of Life". It is an ancient symbol, both literary and visual, within the mystical traditions in Judaism. Every branch, I believe, has specific meanings related to the attributes of the divine.

  • Nice to meet you, Ed, and glad you appreciate humor. Adding humor to the sacred Enneagram was a scary thing to do in a certain way... people at the time took the Enneagram Sooooo seriously, and many still do. But the subtlety in some of the cartoons, besides the humor, helped me to make some of the points clearer as well.
