Dorene Mahoney replied to Christopher Chayban's discussion Symbols and Intuition in Using Jung's Typology Discussion Group
"No. Extraverted intuition is about real world possibilities.
Relative to your 2nd question, it could be that you've got both introverted intuition and extraverted intuition operating in parallel ways. However, the statement, "that person is like a…"

Dorene Mahoney replied to Christopher Chayban's discussion Distortion of Type in Using Jung's Typology Discussion Group
"Shyrl and I have talked about your questions.

First of all, to the extent one's Whole Type Code is distorted through various life experiences, it makes it hard to see their Code accurately.

Individuation is always aiming at increased authenticity.…"

Jung's writing is pretty dense. I've added some of my words around subject and object, active and passive, hoping it makes the passages a little easier to understand:

  • Hi Dorene, thanks for making contact and for the referral to Ken.  I'll probably join you on your call tomorrow :-)

  • Thank you Dorene.  It's been such a pleasure to speak with you.  You have so much insight and wisdom and you are so present.  I am grateful to have met you and for being able to participate in your "Let's Talk Work" workshops.  It's such a huge topic for so many of us; and there are very few outlets where one can really bare one's souls in a safe space and be held during the journey.  Your work is so important and you do it so well.

All the best and looking forward to more and future conversations.

    best,

    Deborah

  • Thank you
  • Thanks for the welcome, Dorene, and for taking the time to read a bit on my website.  Writing helps me to enter my own soul to transcend the ordinary.

    Kindly,

  • Hi Dorene, Thank you for the welcome! - Laurie

  • Dorene, hello, and thank you for the welcome. Sadly, I've not been recalling my dreams for quite some time due to exhaustion. I'm planning naps throughout the week, taken after kids leave for school - and on these days I forgo coffee, I'm hoping to see progress sooner than later. Thank you, also, for the movie recommendation. I will certainly check that out!
  • Thanks so much for the warm welcome, and yes, I do look forward to getting acquainted with the various features.  Unfortunately, I'm working on March 1 at that time, so hopefully, we can meet and greet at another time in the near future.

  • I look forward to participating!
